Possibly the greatest movie I have ever seen here. You, sir, have changed my life. Make more plz!!!
First off, it was really funny, but you should make it into like a full-length flash movie if it isn't too much of a burden.
Yeah, I wish I started earlier so I could've. Thanks for the review
You did a really good job with all of the animation and special effects. I also liked the music and how you put, "no contest" in the end. This was very good and I think you should maybe try to make it a collab again because that sounds like a really good idea.
Thank you for your support.
I am actually considering making it a collab again.
Thx for the review.
Pretty good, but rather slow...
I liked the whole concept of everything, taking care of all the different categories at once and whatnot. But it never seemed to get difficult, or even advance the gameplay. It was just get survivors, make soldiers, defend and expand as I could. I'd have liked it more if it were real-time, I think that could up the excitement quite a bit, having to think rationally in a short period of time would make it more like a zombie apocalypse simulation rather than just a top-down game that happens to have zombies. I may just think this since I honestly only played on normal, but I can't imagine hard being much different other than you'd expand slower cuz you'd need more soldiers.
I tried playing for a while, but I may have still missed some stuff, but from what I saw disease would just kill someone then leave. I think it'd be more exciting if it became a legitimate problem and doctors had to be trained, too. Also, if you could upgrade everyone to be more effective rather than just selecting 30 soldiers to guard your town. Also, I know it may be against your whole idea, but I think switching to a tower-defense sorta thing for defending your town every time zombies came by could break up the slower parts. These are just ideas, though, they could very well not work out.
Finally, with the randomish survivor names and joke-y line here and there, I though it would be neat if there were some referenced to famous soldiers, leader, scientists, etc. So there's my two cents, I'd like a sequel regardless of whether or not you necessarily follow my ideas as this game was pretty enjoyable as I started getting into it, it was just the big picture seemed pretty repetitive.
It was simple, useful, and it explained the script, which is pretty much all that most people look for in a tutorial, but a few other features would be nice for a later one like if you explained crosshairs to follow the mouse, and fully automatic shooting as well as multiple guns if you already know it yourself. Good luck with your future tutorials and other submissions.
All of this will be covered in part 3, which will be misc information.
You did a very good job with this game. I really liked the experience system and awards. The structures were a great touch, as well, along with the variety of missions. When it comes to gameplay, this pretty much gets a solid 10/10 from me, however there seemed to be a lack of towers.
Most defense games now have around 10 towers, whereas this one only had 4. Adding a few more towers with some special things about them such as poison, could definitely improve this in a possible sequel. There was also a lack of creep variety, the ones you chose were good, but you could add onto it by making say average health and average speed, but especially weak to arrow towers or fire towers if you were to add them. There were also too few missions in my opinion, but the ones you did have were still enjoyable and the difficulty was just right, So pretty good job there.
Now, the graphics. The castle, towers, and structures all were nice looking and had a pretty cool style for themselves, and the backgrounds were good for the most part, but the grass ones just seemed sort of lazy, it was just kinda solid green. The rain, snow, and fog effects were all good, though. But the creeps' graphics and "walk animations" were severely lacking, especially when comparing to the towers and other graphics. They also didn't really...walk, they just kind of wiggled along the path. But that's the end of that, 8/10 for graphics.
Overall, great job. I hope to see a sequel sometime in the future.
It loops pretty good. It seems to loop at the right time but there's a pretty big change in layers making it sound a little strange but also pretty good. As it stands, I could see being put into a game but not during a battle but perhaps a break-in of some sort, anyway 4/5 and 8/10
A good remix to a good riff, at the intro I didn't really hear it though...
This would be good for a epic/dramatic scene in a movie =D
It's a pretty good drawing in itself, and I think the lightning could probably use some work, and something about the barrels looks wrong, like color or something, it just seems a little unnatural. Also, the two things at the bottom, the WIP things, kinda take away from the feel and image, itself. Overall, Okay.
Thanks :) I know could have done a bit more on it but got to this and had already started two other images lol... The wireframe and that were there just to show it was fully modeled rather than images plus I was very happy with the barb wire but it didn't show up too well in the render lol.
